It’s been two years since I first heard about Wattpad, but I’ve finally scrounged up the courage to post on it. At first, I only wanted to publish the first few chapters of “The Dreadful Demise of Miss Emma Collins” in hopes of getting some good, meaty feedback.
But after getting a taste of the community (and, admittedly, the high of instant publication), I decided to begin posting an old manuscript I’d forgotten about as a weekly series.
Some of you may be scrunching your eyebrows. A dusty old manuscript that she’d forgotten about? Why the hell would she go and do a thing like that?
Because, my friends, the story is awesome and I didn’t do it justice when I completed it. The thing had been languishing for years in the depths of my computer’s memory, waiting for the light of day (or, the light of the computer screen?), begging me to give it a chance.
So I dusted it off and gave it a new name: The Second Healer. Now it’s sitting proudly on Wattpad, waiting for lovely readers (like yourselves) to click and read.
For those of you who are curious about this (ancient!) manuscript, go ahead and have a peek at it here.
