So I swear this last bout of radio silence has been for a good reason: I’m working on the first draft of my next book 🙂
This one is decidedly New Adult and has a fantasy twist. Though it also, of course, involves alien planets, so I guess I should plaster on that sci-fi label again. My protagonist has been talking to me a lot and has a very, very unmistakable voice. She’s got a bit of a ‘tude, but with a little more spunk than Emma. She’s also kind of funny, at least much more so than I could hope to be, so it’s been nice to pretend the chuckle-worthy quips on my draft came from me 🙂
You may be wondering when I’m actually going to get around to publishing all of these. Hell, my friends and family have been (ever so delicately) complaining that I’m all write, no sell. Cue my New Years Resolution:
Get an agent, or self-publish one book by the end of next December.
So now that I’ve said it, squirmed over it, and posted it on the oh-so-private internet, there’s no going back. I’m not sure how it’s all going to turn out or where to even start, but it’s happening this year. And I’m pretty much terrified 🙂
Anyone have even scarier resolutions? I need comforting…
